Day 1: Arrival to Nosy Be
Departing from OR Tambo on a Saturday, you will arrive to Nosy Be in the evening and will be welcomed and transferred to Domaine Manga Be where you will be able to finally relax in front of the sparking ocean.
Domaine Manga Be is designed as a holiday village with stylish villas you can relax in as your own home. All villas are serviced daily and are equipped with mosquito netting, fans, fridge, bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen or kitchenette.
Accommodation: Domaine Manga Be or similar (Holiday Villa with bathroom, mosquito netting, fans, fridge and kitchen)
Day 2 - 6: Nosy Be – various islands (BLD)
After a tropical breakfast at Domaine Manga Be, you will climb on board our 40ft yacht before we pull anchor and set off for one of the magical islands off Nosy Be.
Depending on your interests (fishing, snorkeling, exploring etc), the skipper will discuss the possibilities with you and design an itinerary to suit your needs.
Below are some of the options available:
The Radamas archipelago: Consisting of four largely un-populated islands, the fishing opportunities at the Radamas are fantastic, and some of the species you can expect to catch are Kingfish, Sailfish, Dog-tooth tuna, Spanish Mackerel and Queen fish. You can enjoy some excellent fishing just 3km off Turtle Bay beach, where you will find the continental shelf dropping from 10 to 100 meters, running parallel along the coast for 13km.
There is plenty to do if you have interests other than fishing. Enjoy exploring around the island in the small boat or taking some time to walk along the beach, or try to find some of the many birds that call the Radama islands their home. The islands are also very good for snorkeling, and you may find yourself spending hours in the water, mesmerized by the fascinating sea life.
Nosy Iranja: Also known as the island of Turtles, Nosy Iranja is the larger and inhabited of the two islands located here, which are connected by a 1.5 km long sand bar and therefore negotiable on foot at low tide. Nosy Iranja is a peaceful and remote island with crystal clear waters, good fishing, and fantastic opportunities to explore on foot. Iranja is a breeding reserve for hawksbill turtles.
The Mitseo archipelago: Consisting of thirteen islands in total, the Mitseo’s are a stunning arrangement of tropical islands, each offering fabulous snorkeling and scuba diving, as well as fishing and general relaxation.
Russian Bay: Also known as Ambavatory Bay, Russian Bay is a beautiful and remote place opposite the Nosy Be archipelago. Enjoy the fantastic marine life for snorkeling and fishing and maybe you might spot a whale (in season – from October to December) or a rare Whale shark. The tropical woods harbour abundant birdlife, reptiles and lemurs.
Lokobie reserve – a protected reserve, Lokobe offers wildlife galore with the likelihood of you spotting several lemur species, colourful chameleons and maybe a snake or two amid the forest!
Nosy Tanikely – a marine reserve teeming with underwater flora and fauna, allowing us the chance for some superb snorkeling in warm waters with great visibility. You are likely to spot an amazing variety of marine life; from coral, starfish and anemones to every colour and shape of fish - and perhaps a turtle if you are lucky! With a bit of luck, we may be able to spot the ring-tailed Lemurs while stepping on to Terra Firma.
Nosy Komba – an island with quaint villages, craft markets and famed for its habituated Lemurs, who may take a jump onto your shoulders!
Accommodation: On board the Catamaran (three double cabins with two bathrooms (main en-suite).
Day 7: Returning to Nosy Be (BL)
After breakfast, we return to Domaine Manga Be where you can relax on dry land and enjoy the beaches in the area, or perhaps take an evening visit of Ambataloka village.
Activities are available at Domaine Manga Be, & can be arranged on your first night.
Accommodation: Domaine Manga Be or similar (Holiday Villa with bathroom, mosquito netting, fans, fridge and kitchen)

Day 8: Nosy Be - Johannesburg (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Antananarivo airport for your flight home.
