Tides result from the tidal forces that come from the moon and the sun; these tidal forces affect the marine bodies found in the waters of Madagascar! The changes also come from the earth’s rotation and the wind speeds. Generally Madagascar is a great fishing destination throughout the different lunar cycles in the month and tides are the strongest on the full moon….making for a challenging but rewarding experience.

To have more detailed lunar and tide tables we always recommend visiting http://www.mobilegeographics.com:81/calendar/year/2499.html. Please note that even though the lunar tables relate to ‘Hell-Ville’ the tides are basically the same as those in the Radamas (Turtle Bay Fishing Camp).
Actual fishing is optimal when the tide changes. You can expect all types of fish in the Madagascar waters, especially on the drop offs – tuna and sail fish are in abundance there.
