SAKATIA ISLAND
Sakatia Island boasts stunning beaches and the orchids growing on the hillsides give the island its second name – Orchid Island.
The island has no roads, cars or bicycles – only footpaths – thus protecting the natural environment as best as possible. The waters surrounding the island are a diving and snorkelling paradise, filled with various tropical sea life. The atmosphere on Sakatia Island is relaxed, and the island has a small diving centre.
Sakatia Lodge
Situated at the foot of the Sacred Mountain and Nature Reserve, and on one of the most beautiful parts of Madagascar, lies Sakatia Lodge. Sakatia Island offers the typical unspoilt tropical fauna and flora of this area.
